Currently our homeschool group consists of about 8 families and 15 children. We try to meet at least once a month for either a class party or a field trip.
The purpose of our ministry: To raise and train children to be in the army of the Lord.
We believe: Our children's education
should be positive... "Parents do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord." Ephesians 6:4
is the parents' responsibility, not the states... "Parents...bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord." Ephesians 6:4
should be Bible-centered... "Christ Himself, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge." Colossians 2:2b-3
should include a teacher worthy of imitation... "Everyone when he is fully taught will be like his teacher." Luke 6:40
should include wisdom, not just knowledge... "He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm." Proverbs 13:20
should prepare them for life... "All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work." 2 Timothy 3:16-17
should include positve peer influence... "Do not be deceived, 'Bad company ruins good morals.' " 1 Corinthians 15:13 "For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds." 2 Peter 2:8
